About Us

Our mission. Our methods.

Our mission

Our “why” can be found in a recent scientific paper on the effectiveness of WOL. Researchers highlighted three major findings:

  1. An increase in collaboration, knowledge sharing, and outreach.

  2. An increase in feelings of confidence and control.

  3. Both increases persisted six months later.

With more than 50,000 people using our methods across hundreds of companies, we know WOL can fundamentally change how people relate to each other and to themselves by building skills, relationships, and growth mindsets.

Our mission is to spread this positive change, making work and life better for individuals and organizations.

Our methods

People who use our methods experience self-determination at work, fulfilling innate needs for autonomy, competence, and relatedness. The key is learning and growing together with others, taking small steps over time in a confidential, psychologically safe space. Afterwards, participants are more confident, more self-directed, and more skilled at building trusted, cooperative relationships.

Companies use WOL methods to connect silos, increase effectiveness, and foster a sense of connection and belonging for teams, new joiners, and diversity groups.

They range in size from a few hundred employees to a few hundred thousand. WOL is in offices as well as factories, hospitals, retail stores, and universities.

These organizations all believe what we believe:

We can improve how we relate to each other and to ourselves. We can improve how we work, learn, and grow together. WOL helps you and your company experience it.
