The Global Edition of WOL Circles is a structured peer coaching program that helps you accomplish a personal or professional goal while you build new skills, relationships, and habits. This method helps you increase your collaboration, connection, and contribution while you develop a mindset that can help you achieve any new goal you set in the future.
Each weekly session with your Circle of 3 to 4 peers lasts one hour, with live coaching and support along the way from WOL founder John Stepper and certified WOL Coach Mara Tolja. Through shared accountability and practice, you will each come out of the program with new habits, a larger network, and more confidence.
Join as an individual and we will connect you with the best Global Circle for you. Or, if you would like to try this program within your company, contact us to register an entire Circle from within your team.

HOW IT WORKS
The best investment is the one you make in yourself
For 12 weeks, together with a small confidential group (a "WOL Circle"), you make progress week-by-week towards an individual goal you choose. By the end, you will have a larger network related to your goal—and new skills, habits and a mindset you can apply toward any goal. Here’s how it works:
-
Meet with your circle on a weekly basis at a time that works for all of you. Step by step, you develop new skills, habits, and insights. WOL for Circles – Global Edition last for 12 weeks.
-
There will be 4 official meeting for all participants with the WOL for Circles – Global Edition team to discuss progress and get inspired.
-
Meet with other WOLlies in our community on Mighty Networks, benefit from WOL touchpoints like the WOL app, the official workbook or other tools and templates.
-
Week by week, strangers become friends. And with each step you increase confidence and trust in yourself and in the group.

WOL Circles – 12 weeks in detail
Increase collaboration, connection, and contributions across your company. Ideally suited for talent development, onboarding, diversity, and leadership training programs.
-
In your first week, you will get to know your other Circle members a bit better, and each of you will pick your own individual goal. Then you’ll take a step toward that goal by creating a “relationship list”—an initial list of people related to your goal.
-
In Week 2, you will make simple contributions to people on your relationship list, deepening relation-ships in a small way. Just reviewing the list will further attune your attention to your goal, and the small steps you take each week will gradually increase your sense of empowerment.
-
In Week 3, you will make an adjustment to how you manage your time, add to your relationship list, and offer another kind of contri-bution. These small steps will re-inforce and expand your practice.
-
How you offer a contribution can make all the difference. This week, you will practice refining the way you write your messages, and how you approach people in general. These exercises will make your communications feel more personal and valuable, and make them more likely to be effective.
-
Most people think far too narrowly about what they have to offer. This week can change that for you. The exercises will help you understand how a broad set of things you may take for granted can serve as the basis for meaningful connections with others.
-
Visible profiles and contributions increase your chances of making connections and give you access to resources and feedback that can improve your work. This week, you will take a small step toward improving your online presence. Then you’ll use your improved presence to deepen a relationship.
-
This week, before you attempt more advanced contributions and tech- niques, you will do one of the most powerful exercises in your Circle: “A letter from your future self.” It will give you a chance to reflect, and perhaps open your mind to goals, aspirations, and possibilities you didn’t dare to consider before.
-
Although you spent the last seven weeks thinking of your goal in terms of people and contributions, you’re still working on making that a habit and a mindset. This week, you will explore ways to reinforce your new WOL habit so that it takes less effort and feels increasingly natural. Then, you will practice empathy (again) in a way that might surprise you—and will certainly distinguish you.
-
At this point in your Circle, you are ready to expand your range of contributions further by making more of your work and thinking visible. Whether this is new to you or some-thing you are already comfortable with, the exercises this week will help you create content that is simple, generous, and useful.
-
Having a system can make things easier. This week, you’ll work with two simple systems, one for identifying new contributions and one for managing your relationship list. Then you will take an action that you may never have thought of as a contribution: asking for something.
-
So far, the focus has been on your individual contributions and connections. In Week 11, you will expand your sense of what is possible by thinking more broadly about your network, your role in it, and what you might accomplish together. This week may change how you think about leadership: both what it takes to lead and who does it well.
-
This final week marks the end of a process, and also a kind of beginning. You will reflect on what has changed for you and what might come. And in your last exercise, you will make several additional contributions, including some for yourself.

„Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”
— Helen Keller
Welcome to a global learning and development experience like no other
Every time I run this program it is an incredible experience. In the last one, we had people from more than a dozen countries. We’ve had people looking for their next career step as well as Human Resources looking for their next training program. We’ve had independent freelancers as well as large companies who purchased entire Circles.
Participants are excited by the different perspectives and amazed at how much they find in common with their Circle. Invariably, the groups learn and grow together. They make progress together. And by the end of the program, they feel confident and supported, ready to take on their next challenges.
I hope you will join us in September 2022.
