#ICelebrateYou : Julia Weber

A Google alert delivered a spark of joy this week. It was triggered by an article about Julia Weber and her work at ZF. And it brought back many pleasant memories.

I first met Julia in 2017. She was an early adopter of hashtag#workingoutloud and we quickly came to be collaborators. And then friends. 😊

The places we worked together still seem exotic to me:
Friedrichshafen.
Koblenz.
Schweinfurt.

Whether it was a presentation to a big audience in the beautiful ZF headquarters or a workshop in a factory cafeteria, our time together was always creative and motivating and…fun.

Small moments stay in my memory, even years later. Going with her to her choir practice in a church. Meeting her lovely mother (who later joined a WOL Circle :-)). Being terrified in the passenger seat of her car as she sped down the Autobahn to get me somewhere on time. 😱 🏎

As budgets and organizations changed, Julia moved on to new projects and pursuits. As I read the article, I smiled at her many successes. Not only the transformational programs at ZF but the personal projects too, including her second(!) book that she’s writing now.

Dear Julia, thank you for all your collaboration and support over the years, and all the happy memories. It is a pleasure to celebrate you!
